The bump at 35 weeks:
No, I'm not dumb enough to actually think a Target crib would hold me so I've got one foot holding me up... trust me, the pose didn't last long :)
I've gotta start the blog with a cute conversation between Luke and I. It's by FAR my favorite daddy-ism of the week and maybe even the month.

While I'm doing Chloe's laundry, Luke says, "Look at those cute shorts!"
My response: "Uhhh.... babe, those are newborn size JEANS. That's the size our baby will be in 5 weeks!!!"
Picture mandatory after that exchange :)
Let me see if I can recap the week:
Friday rung in my 24th birthday. Luke worked that evening so Deb took me out for dinner and to do some Christmas shopping. It was so nice to have an evening out with just her. I did pay the price from too many breadsticks and walking when I woke up with swollen ankles on Saturday. Totally worth it!
Saturday brought a busy day at work with a wonderful lunch break with Charlotte and a Caramel Apple Spice in hand. Can I just say I've truly been blessed by such amazing friends?!?!
Saturday night was the family party. Each year I look forward to an amazing pan of lasagna which I again indulged and we had an awesome cool whip and raspberry sherbet cake that was killer too. Here are a couple pictures:
Beautiful necklace from my hubby. How sweet huh?
Tuesday & Wednesday brought some busy days for Luke and I. We ran errands, made VERY yummy peanut butter balls (a Christmas goodie from Luke's past that I hadn't ever tried while his grandma was alive so I did my best to recreate them for him --and me --and Chloe), sold Luke's car (that got keyed at work on Friday by one of the lovely kids at his group home), got my new mama mobile (no, it's not a mini-van!), did a few crafts, washed Chloe's clothes, and started her furniture assembly. Whew! Hopefully in the next week, the nursery will be complete... Here's to hoping...
6 drawers down, only 59 more pieces to go!
I've never done such a small load of laundry in my life!! And I was 100% ok with it.
Closet dividers progressing slowly but surely!
This week I've started doing yoga before bed. At my last Dr appt, I had a loooooong wait so I was reading about maternity yoga. I've never been a yoga kinda girl and got a kick out of the thought of an over-sized me doing yoga. However, when I was unable to sleep at 5 am due to hip pain, I reflected back on what I had read and it worked. After a few minutes of groaning and stretching, I was back in bed and fast asleep. Amazing!
Well folks, I think that wraps up our week. My friends are throwing me a baby shower on Saturday morning which I am stoked about! Added bonus: day off of work. Woohooooo!! Tuesday is my next appointment in which the doctor is planning to check my "cervix progression". Uhhhhh, sounds unpleasant but I guess that's just the beginning!
Thanks for reading. Happy Friday to you all!
