Hit 13 weeks!

My days are filled with smiles from my sweet baby girl.

So much has happened in the past few weeks that I'm envisioning a long post. It's ok if you skim it, just look at the pictures, or even don't read it once you open it and see the length. I'm having a great time keeping my family and friends updated as well as having all this info recorded for my scrapbook. Let's see what I can remember:

My baby girl has hit 12.5 hours straight of sleep without waking. She had been hovering between 9 and 11 hours but she finally did it!! Most nights she will sleep 12-14 hours total but usually there is a feeding in the middle. We put her to bed around 8 each night. Our night routine includes bath, feeding, then into bed. Usually she wakes around 5:30 then back to bed until 9 or 10. Simply put, it's awesome.

We have discovered an undeniable love for the outdoors in our daughter.... and a bad case of allergies. She has been teething for sure and even a little bit of fresh air will cure a case of the pain-induced weepies. Our sweet Bug is content on her back, side, in the stroller, carseat or sitting on your lap as long as she has something colorful and alive in front of her beautiful blue eyes. Unfortunately, we are learning that she also suffers when she spends too much time outdoors. The humidifier has worked wonders for her plugged nose and we even found a booger dried in her hair this morning so apparently, it's working!! Take a look at our day at Gustafson Farms today...

Spit up/acid reflux problem hasn't gone away yet. I'm occasionally able to recognize her face when she is about to spew but she still catches us by surprise quite often!

Smiles the biggest in the morning and during bath time.

Moves more than anyone else I've ever seen or heard of. She can't even roll over but the crazy girl will turn 180 degrees in the crib and get her legs stuck. Bumper pad is purchased but hasn't been put on yet...

Thumb sucking is happening more & more often.

Luke loves to watch Baby Einstein sign language videos with her. It's so cute.

Last week brought a visit to the good ol' Good Life. Our trip to Nebraska was a big batch of wonderful all smashed into 7 days. We met great grandma Edna, cousins Zade & Brynn, great aunt Sheila, her second cousin Josiah, and spent some time with her new friend Penny.

Cute story about Zade. I was feeding Brynn diced carrots while my mom was giving Chloe her bottle. Pretty soon Zade is saying "Oopie. Oopie. Carrot." We looked over to see him pointing at Chloe's birthmark. He thought she had dropped a carrot on her arm. Precious!

Traveling with a 3 month baby was easier than I expected. I was very, very uneasy going into the trip. My mom was along with me but I told her that she was not allowed to help except holding Chloe on the plane so I could practice alone. She did SOOOO well and slept most of the time on the plane. On the flights back, I even got to take her carseat on which let her sleep soundly and made my back a little less achy the next day!

A few shots of our bundle of joy. Each day, almost hourly, we get to see a new facial expression and just look at each other in awe. What a delight she has been!

Love you Little One.
