Corn dogs, baybay.

After a long day, Chloe and I were hun-gry! The day before grocery shopping is always a little touch & go of what is available in the refrigerator but I always have a stash of corn dogs in the freezer. Soooo, I pulled 3 out, put them in the microwave and tried to entertain a fussing girl. Once I pulled one of the warmed corn dogs out, I gave Chloe one to gnaw on....

Poor thing... the hotdog inside was too hot on her mouth :(

So, I took it away and put it into the fridge to cool....
 Didn't go well  :)

The rest of the corndog, she enjoyed greatly...

Please don't turn me into CPS. I really do try to feed my daughter well but I'm also a full time working mama that doesn't always have the time to make a balanced 4 course meal. Sooooo, we ate double our share of carrots, peas, and pears today and that's just how we rolled yesterday  :)

Big Day for my Big Girl

In our jammies this morning,  Chloe and I were playing with her doll house. The little house is perfect for our scenario..... blonde "da-da", blonde "ma-ma", and a baby. I love it. Anyway, about the only thing she does with the house is put each person to bed (probably because its the top level of the house!). Today, my sweet girl put her first words together to make a sentance... as she lay the daddy doll into the bed, she said,

"Da-da nigh night"

Heart proud.

Thirteen Months

Every day is new and fun. This child has her dad's lighthearted side and it's the best. She tooted in her high chair, made this face:
then started laughing.
It was too stinking precious.

Here's what we know:
- She knows where her shoes are and will pat them when someone says "I like your shoes"
- She usually takes just 1 nap a day but will sneak a 30 minute one every once in a while
-Quit sleeping through the night MOST nights and we are baffled as to why!
-Is 17lbs 5oz (as of 3 weeks ago)
-Holds up 1 finger occasionally when asked how old she is
-Knows how to turn on the radio and immediately starts dancing even before the music starts
-Loooooooves to read look at books. She usually won't sit still for me to read it but she loves to sit on the floor alone and flip back and forth
-Now says "Elmo" instead of "Mo-mo"
-Drinks solely soy milk, no more formula
-Won't drink any milk from a cup so she still has usually 6-8oz per bottle, three times per day
-Pats herself on the cheek anytime someone says "baby" At mom's club the other day, a bunch of us were googling over a new baby and when someone said "look at the tiny baby", Chloe started patting herself  :)
-The Mom's Club helpers reported that she spent an entire class trying to undress herself and every time she got her shirt up passed her tummy, she'd start tickling herself… then laughing.
-Says "cracker"
-Tells us "NO" quite often

Each new phase that she enters is our new favorite.

Lots of love little one!
