Pinterest is a party planners paradise. And with the new secret boards they offer, no one even knew my ideas :)
With snowflakes, glitter, silver & pink, we had quite the winter ONEderland to be proud of! I'd definitely say that working full time made party planning a month-long task. I made the banner, printed the photos, and wrapped her gifts weeks in advance so I could focus on other details as the time got closer. Due to the size of our house, we didn't have a huge party but we had a wonderful time with those closest to us. Here are a few party pictures:
Pre-party haircut
Served quinoa salad, rice kripy treats, dipped pretzels, red hot popcorn, apples & dip, and Almond Joy cupcakes
Chloe's actually birthday was spent in the car on the way to pick up Mimi & Papa from the airport. She was sooooo social and went up to lots of new people. She even went up to a lady and petted her boots :)
Waiting for her first guests…..
My big brother showed up to surprise us for the party. Love him!
My big girl has turned 1. One year. 365 days. It's tooooo fast. Too quick. It seems like yesterday that we were bringing our peanut home from the hospital.
If you ask me, she is turning more amazing every day. This girl is full of spunk, spit fire, and the most beautiful smiles. Her vocabulary includes: mama, dada, noooo, hottttt, uh oh, owww, tickle tickle, MoMo (for Elmo), nigh nigh, hi, and working on "on" and "off" now. Animal noises are plentiful... cat, dog, cow, pig, duck, lion, goat, and working on buzzing like a bee. Chloe is walking EVERYWHERE now and her waddle is too much for me to handle. We've dabbled in a little signing so she know's "all done, more, and water. The little gasp that escapes her lips is my favorite noise she make. A little quirk: she pulls her left eyelash while she takes her bottle. I'm afraid she's going to pull them all out one day but who knows? We've weaned her down to 2 bottles a day: one before her nap, one before bed. Her schedule looks a little like this:
8 am Up for the Day
Eat pretty much right away
12pm Lunch
1pm Bottle (4-6oz) and down for 2.5-4 hr nap
Snack pretty much as soon as she's awake
20 minute nap around 5:30 if she had a short nap
6pm Dinner
8pm Snacking begins
8:30 6-8 oz bottle and down for the night
FINALLY she had been sleeping all night. The last few nights have woken her in painful fits because we are working on teething but otherwise, its been a beautiful thing to get some solid nights of sleep.
Here's a few pictures of our beautiful one year old girl....
A few of her favorite things right now:
Visits from Mimi (and Papa)
Being outside
Elmo
ALWAYS having something in her mouth
Carrying at LEAST 2 toothbrushes around -- but she prefers 3.
This girl keeps us guessing, learning, and laughing every day. I'm one blessed mama.
