Time is flying by...

SEVEN MONTHS!!!!

About our big girl:

*She loves to stroke her face & hair while taking her bottle
*Is crawling!!!!! It's been new in the last couple days so its still a little slow but watch out world.
*Doesn't love cantelope or honeydew but watermelon is one of her favorites!
*Has been using a pacifier only at nap time. She doesn't necessarily suck on it but pulls it in and out of her mouth repeatedly until she falls asleep. I'll often find it clutched in her hands when I go check on her.
*Working on using her own sippy cup
*Sitting up in the bathtub. It nearly gives me a heart attack every time she reaches for a toy that has floated out of her grasp but she LOVES to kick and slap the water
*Sitting up in a cart!
*Sleeping almost all night! We feed her 4 oz when we put her to bed around 8:30 then another 6-8 oz before we go to bed. If it's late enough, she will sleep until 7:30 without waking up. However, if we want to go to bed before 10, she will be up to eat around 6.
*Weighted 15 lbs 8 oz at her Dr appt last week... the same Dr appointment that confirmed she has ringworm. Poor girl! We got some cream and have begun anti fungal treatment immediately!
*Drooling constantly so we are wondering if she's working on her 4th tooth - her first top tooth just poked through yesterday!
*Favorite toy - the laptop. Every time we Skype with Mimi & Papa, she lunges at the keyboard because it makes a beep for every button she hits
*Pushing and pulling up -- on hips, toys, furniture, anything she can get her hands on.

The first night we saw her actually crawling

Bad cough

Auntie Jacy making her laugh

Crawling to Grammy!

We had the pleasure of spending about 30 or so hours at Kirk & Jill's cabin this weekend. Because of Luke & I's schedule, we don't have a day off together normally but I took off Sunday so we could spend some time as a family. Here are a few pics from that trip:

I am the only new-to-the-mom-thing mother I know that works full time. I know many others do it but I don't know any personally. Some days that causes pride to rise up, some days that brings a justification that I'm "allowed" to take the easy route, some days that brings anger that I can't have that opportunity, and some days it gives me a serious case of the weepies. Although it's no secret that I'm hoping to be part time in the not-so-distant future, I also know that working and providing for my family is where I'm needed right now. Making the most of every waking moment with my daughter is part of my to-do list along with chilling about the laundry basket in the corner of the room (that's been there so long that it's almost empty because I needed all those clean clothes). When I dreamt of being grown up, I didn't picture my child toddling at Grammy's house while I worked but you know what? I'm darn thankful Grammy is close so that she can watch Chloe. I'm so grateful that Chloe gets to stay with family and not be in daycare. I appreciate all the updates, pictures, and even videos that I receive during the day so I can spend a few minutes seeing what she's experiencing.

My baby girl is growing too fast. I found her standing in the crib yesterday, she fell out today, and she's crawling over to me now. It warms and breaks my heart all at once. Two of my coworkers took their babies home from the hospital this week and it makes me reflect on that special day seven months ago....
